Warehouse First Line Manager – Inverness (IV2)

Our dedicated warehouse teams are the unsung (and unseen) heroes who work behind the scenes every day handling every product with care as if it was their own.
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse First Line Manager who will have overall responsibility for everything that happens ‘under the roof’ within our small warehouse in Inverness, ensuring our customers receive the best quality service always.
Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for;
- Efficient resource planning ensuring the operation is both effective and compliant.
- Leading your warehouse colleagues to coordinate all aspects of the day to day offload, put away and pick and load processes (which includes responsibility for stock quality and integrity).
- Process stock within the warehouse, working on spreadsheets and updating as necessary
- Stock control and audit
- Control and allocate work within the warehouse
- Resolve concerns that may occur day to day
- Pick customer orders from location
- Load and unload vehicles
- Making prompt decisions which protect customer service and our delivery schedule, as well as remaining commercially focused.
- Leading on-site resources (colleagues and equipment) to ensure we have everything required in the right place at the right time

Working hours;
- 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
The Ideal Candidate
The nature of the role is such that as well as having experience in leading warehouse operations and people management, you must be well organised, have an eye for detail, be able to communicate effectively, as well as the capacity to take a common-sense approach to a situation.
Key skills
- Experience of leading teams within a warehouse
- Knowledge and experience dealing with first line people management issues (absence, performance, and investigations)
- Knowledge of RedPrairie WMS is an advantage
- Good working knowledge on Microsoft Systems as this role uses various Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Analyse and utilise Management Information to identify areas of improvement and drive change
- Strong people skills – able to influence, coach and develop
Package Description
- Basic hourly rate of £10.35
