ArrowXL are excited to announce that we’re now recruiting for a Transport Shift Manager to join our dedicated team in Enfield.

Leading our delivery crews, you will hold responsibility for the smooth operation of our Transport and Service Delivery functions, ensuring our customers receive the best quality service.

Role Responsibility

• Leading and motivating your team of skilled service delivery crews, First Line Managers and Team Leaders
• Efficient fleet utilisation, resource planning and cost control (whilst always ensuring the operation is both effective and compliant)
• Taking lead for legal compliance and safety 
• Identifying opportunities for improved efficiencies within the Transport function, recommending and implementing changes where needed
• The resourcing, development and management of all colleagues within your team, ensuring our service delivery crews are fully trained in all areas (in particular driver CPC, service delivery standards and product installation)
• Making prompt decisions which protect customer service and our delivery schedule, as well as remaining commercially focused
• Managing on-site resources (colleagues, vehicles and equipment) to ensure we have everything required in the right place at the right time to not only meet, but also flex, to our Customers changing needs

The Ideal Candidate

With the amount of applications expected for this position, we will only be able to proceed forward with candidates who match our essential requirements stated below:

• A minimum of two years’ experience employed within a similar transport management role
• Experience and knowledge of improving transport operations and introducing operational excellence
• Excellent knowledge of Road Transport Regulations 
• First class people skills. Able to motivate, influence coach and develop your teams
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Management CPC desirable but not essential (however you must be willing to study for management CPC as part of development in this role)

Package Description

• 40 hours per week, on a 5/7 Rota
• Working hours – start times will vary between 05:00 and 07:00 so flexibility will be needed
• Basic hourly rate of £16.90
