Most of our work is taking responsibility for storing and delivering large, heavy, bulky items – the kind of work that typically needs two people to handle. Quite often these items need installing, which we do too.

ArrowXL is now recruiting for a 7.5T Yard Shunter to join our transport team located from our Wigan depot.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, your duties will include:

• Moving vehicles around the yard
• Relocating vehicles to parking spaces
• Reversing on to and off bays
• Yard marshalling
• Vehicle management
• Vehicle Trunking to our other depots

The Ideal Candidate

With the amount of applications expected for this position, we will only be able to proceed forward with candidates who match our essential requirements stated below:

•        Hold the correct driving licence to drive a 7.5 Tonne vehicle
•        Fully completed your driver CPC training
•        In possession of a digital tachograph card
•        Excellent attention to detail and work ethic
•        We are looking for a flexible individual who can work either AM, PM or  Nights on short term notice.

Additional Information

• 40 hours per week (minimum) guaranteed, over 5 days
• Basic hourly rate of £9.50 
• 20% Shift premium (increasing your hourly rate of pay to £11.40)
• Overtime and extra shifts are available (paid at time and half)
