Job Introduction

Our dedicated warehouse teams are the unsung (and unseen) heroes who work behind the scenes every day handling every product with care as if it was their own.

Last year we delivered more than 2,000,000 precious items to our customers through our four hubs at Airdrie, Wigan, Droitwich and Enfield.

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our amazing Warehouse team in Droitwich, working the PM Shift from 14:00 to 22:00.

The working week is one of 37.5 hours over 5 days.

Role Responsibility

You will be reporting to the Team Manager in a busy warehouse environment – We are a 2-person delivery specialist and so some of the items we move are big and bulky (sofas, fridges, TV's etc.).

The main duties of the role will include:

• To pick customer orders
• Load and unload vehicles
• Take responsibility for returns and the returns area
• Take responsibility for your colleagues and your own Health and Safety
• Understanding and following all policies and processes following SSOW (safe systems of work)
• Promote effective communication between your team members and manager
• Be passionate to develop and continuously improve
• Physical and systematic checking of goods in stock to ensure correct destination
• Use various hand-held terminals and site-specific equipment

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have experience working within a warehouse environment as an operative (full training will be given) with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will need to be computer literate as there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to use Red Prairie, training will be provided.

Package Description

•       Basic hourly rate of £8.28
