WMS Lead Developer

Job Introduction

As a member of our IT and Transformation Department, you’ll lead the development of our Warehouse Management System including building, documenting, testing and deploying our WMS solution.  

Role Responsibility

This role will be key in supporting our strategy to deliver effective technology platforms that give our people the tools they need to deliver excellent customer service.

The Lead Red Prairie/JDA Developer role encompasses configuration, programming and reporting activities in a JDA-Red Prairie Dispatcher Warehouse Management System (WMS) environment.

This involves working with the IT and operational teams to study, define, build, document, test, deploy and support WMS solutions.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who has extensive experience in Red Prairie / JDA Dispatcher WMS configuration – minimum of 3 years experience within a Warehouse / Transport setting.

You will have experience of managing and leading successful teams, ensuring that team objectives and priorities are aligned to broader functional and business objectives. You will come equipped with the knowledge and experience to provide advice in critical areas and be able to adapt plans in response to changing business need and critical issues.

You should have an excellent working knowledge of Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Oracle APEX and Oracle SOA, a great eye for detail with the ability to study a problem, capture requirements and define plans to deliver system changes.

Whilst your home location will be Wigan, on occasion you may be required to travel to another site to provide support, therefore you should hold a full UK drivers licence.
