WMS Developer

Job Introduction

The purpose of this role is to work as part of the WMS team as a developer primarily focused on Blue Yonder (JDA) 2019 Dispatcher and Oracle 12G. This role is a technical role within the IT Development and Change team working very closely with the wider IT team, other business functions and 3rd parties.

The successful candidate will support the business with incident management and will support  day to day on several items ranging from small configuration changes and report creation to larger changes and business wide projects.

The candidate will be expected to work very closely with SME’s and business stakeholders to design solutions in line with business requirements and timelines.

The candidate should have good experience of governance processes and agile and waterfall project management methodologies as well as strong technical understanding of the application.

Role Responsibility

General:

  • Exercises professional knowledge on specific fields, seeking advice from your manager where required
  • Uses established procedures to solve problems, using own judgement and expertise
  • Effectively manages time so that deadlines are met both individually and as a team
  • Act upon any feedback from your line manager concerning individual and / or team performance
  • Be responsible for and undertake continual learning and development both informally and formally, ensuring a clear understanding of the business and cross functional priorities

The Ideal Candidate

Experience:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in a medium sized transport environment

  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities

Role Specific Requirements:

  • Must have Implementation and configuration experience in Blue Yonder (JDA) 2019 Dispatcher
  • Must have knowledge of Oracle 12 G.
  • Must have Linux, shell scripting experience or strong PL/SQL experience.
  • Experience as an application specialist in the supply chain domain (desirable Warehouse Management Systems)
  • Excellent Knowledge of application management principles.
  • Familiar with Integration concepts (B2B and EAI).
  • Must be able to design and present solutions and have good understanding of governance processes.
  • Should have good experience of agile and waterfall project management methodologies
