ArrowXL is now recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our busy team, planning final mile deliveries to our customer’s homes and LGV movements across the UK.

Role Responsibility

Utilising transport planning systems (Paragon Planning software) you will be part of a team that plan between 6,000 and 10,000 multi drop deliveries across a fleet of up to 300 vehicles and 75 to 100 LGV movements on a daily basis. 

Reporting in to the Network Planning Manager, your duties will include;

• Ensuring optimal routing of vehicles to meet customer requirements, legal compliance and organisational KPI’s
• Planning Deliveries, Inter-depot movements and collections
• Updating transport systems accurately and in real time as and when changes occur
• Responding to internal enquiries regarding route capacity to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled to the highest possible standards
• Work closely with other departments at ArrowXL

The Ideal Candidate

With the amount of applications expected for this position, we will only be able to proceed forward with candidates who match our essential requirements stated below:

• 2 years working within logistics
• Understanding of Driver’s Hours rules (Working Time Directive/ EU Driver’s Hours Regulations)
• Able to work under pressure and prioritise activity
• Good communication skills
• Self-starter who is always looking for ways to improve the way we do things
• Ability to cope with rapid pace of change
• Can be relied upon to deliver to tight deadlines
• Good Excel skills and/or knowledge
• Paragon planning experience preferable

Package Description

•        40 hours per week (PM Shift), on a 4/7 rota
•        Working hours - 12:30 to 23:00
•        Basic hourly rate of £12.29 (basic annual salary of £25,563.20)
