Quite often these items need installing which we take care of that too.  

ArrowXL are now recruiting for a Test Analyst to join the IT team based from our Wigan Distribution Centre. Working within the Test team at ArrowXL you will carry our application and infrastructure testing involving functional, UAT and non-functional test scripting and execution activities for both small change and large projects. 

Working closely with Project Managers, Technical team members, offshore and third parties you will ensure that any changes meet solution and user requirements within this fast paced, challenging, yet equally rewarding role.  If you’re interested in working for the UK’s largest multi-user, two person, home delivery and warehouse specialists, this this role will be of interest to you.

Role Responsibility

• Reviewing requirements and solution documentation and creating test scenarios using a risk-based approach
• Executing test scenarios using test management tool or excel
• Identifying and raising defects in defect management tool and re-testing of defects
• Creating test deliverables such as: Test Plans, Test Scripts, End of Test Reports
• Analysis of project and design documentation to design and create Test scenarios

• Liaising with project team, technical team, offshore team and 3rd parties to progress the testing of projects.
• Working with the Test team to improve processes such as maintaining test scripts, knowledge transfer within the team and automating repeatable tasks

The Ideal Candidate

Due to the required skillset needed for this role, we will only be able to proceed forward with candidates who match our essential requirements stated below:

• Currently employed within a testing position with a minimum of three years’ experience
• Proficient in SQL and creation of SQL queries for back end database testing
• Experience of testing on both Application and Infrastructure projects
• ISEB Software Testing Foundation level certification (or higher)
• Enthusiasm for testing with an interest in self development
• Ability to assimilate complex concepts and break down into tasks
• Experience testing across the full software development lifecycle
• Demonstrate understanding of test principles and best practice
