ArrowXL are excited to announce that we’re currently recruiting for a Technical Test Analyst to join the IT team and be based from our Wigan Distribution Centre. Working alongside the test team, you will carry out Functional, Integration and UAT test scripting and execution activities across both small change and large projects.  

Working closely with the Test Manager and our team of Test Analysts, you will be required to liaise with Project Managers, technical team members, off-shore and third parties to ensure any changes that are made meet solution and user requirements.

Role Responsibility

• Reviewing requirements and solution documentation and creating test scenarios using a risk-based approach
• Creating test deliverables such as: Test Approach, Test Plans, Test Scripts, End of Test Reports
• Identifying and raising defects in defect management tool and Retesting of defects
• Executing test scenarios using test management tool or excel
• Creation of test plans to include test estimates and scope
• Automation of testing and processes
• Liaising with project team, technical team, offshore team and 3^rd parties to progress the testing of projects
• Working with team to improve processes such as maintaining test scripts, knowledge transfer within the team, automating repeatable tasks

The Ideal Candidate

Due to the nature of this role and the technical skills which are required, we will only be able to proceed forward with applications that match our essential requirements stated below.

Role specific:

• A minimum of four years’ experience working within testing 
• Technical experience of creating SQL queries for back end database testing
• Experience in using tools to test API services such as SOAP UI / Postman
• Knowledge of middleware such as Dell Boomi
• ISEB Software Testing Foundation level certification (or higher)
• Enthusiasm for testing with an interest in self development
• Ability to assimilate complex concepts and break down into tasks
• Experience testing across the full software development lifecycle
• Demonstrate understanding of test principles and best practices

Skills:

• Excellent communication and time management skills with a strong eye for detail
• The ability to manage conflicting priorities whilst multi-tasking
• Good documentation and presentation skills
