ArrowXL are excited to announce that we’re currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join our People services team and be based from our Distribution Centre in Wigan. Partnering closely with senior stakeholders from HR, Finance and Operations the primary focus of this role is to deliver and further develop our current systems and processes. Alongside managing your team, you will continue to offer a first rate service to all ArrowXL colleagues from across the network on all aspects of payroll, reward and data.

Role Responsibility
- Partner closely with HR, Finance and Operational Teams; this role's primary purpose is to deliver and further develop a first-rate service to our colleagues across all aspects of payroll, reward and data
- Accountable for the smooth delivery of the monthly payroll and associated processes including RTI, auto enrolment, period end, and weekly MI reporting
- Implementer and project lead for various system improvements including introduction of a Time and Attendance System, self-service portals & payroll system enhancements
- Leadership and development of four direct reports within the team
- Part of the Senior People Team helping develop and deploy key aspects of the Engagement strategy

- Flexible with the ability to prioritise effectively and to work in a fast-paced and everchanging environment
- Facilitator and implementer of long-term change and improvements
- Ownership of the overall reward packages for our colleagues, liaison with existing and new suppliers and active instigator of enhancements
- Ability to see the big picture while focusing on the processes and procedures necessary to produce daily and weekly outputs
- Delivers a robust control and monitoring environment delivering appropriate reconciliations, reviews and adherence to daily/weekly/monthly processes
- Provider and analyst of key management information and reporting, identifying trends and solutions to assist in key business decision making
- Proven people management skills and strong leadership whilst working as part of a high performing team
- Extremely strong attention to detail with outstanding levels of accuracy
- Implementer of strong processes and displays a continuous improvement mindset, always striving for business improvement
- Advanced Excel and IT skills are essential, and has previous experience of various payroll systems (knowledge of Miracle Pay/NAV and Kronos would be advantageous)
- Wealth of payroll experience at a management level in ideally a service/retail or logistics environment
