Infrastructure Engineer (Azure)

ArrowXL are excited to announce that we’re currently recruiting for a Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) to join the team as we grow our In-House Infrastructure function to support our traditional datacentres and cloud services. With a recent move to Office 365 and a planned move into Azure, we’re now looking for a dedicated Azure and 0365 SME to design, manage and maintain our platforms.
Taking the lead on exciting infrastructure projects you will implement these changes across the business whilst gaining valuable skills and exposure as you work closely with numerous departments and stakeholders. Role Responsibility
- Being the Azure SME, you will design and deploy the required Infrastructure into Azure. Feeding into the cloud governance model you will help shape and define how we deploy the Infrastructure into our cloud platform
- Being the Office 365 SME, you will provide support and advice for the full suite of O365 applications including Exchange, Office, PowerBI, SharePoint and Teams
- Interfacing with the business, you will continually build strong working relationships to ensure that you translate business requirements into technical solutions that align to Azure and O365 roadmap
- Manage the O365 roadmap, ensuring that all new features and changes are communicated and deployed where required
- Monitoring and maintaining cloud platforms ensuring that they remain complainant and that there adhering to our business security standards and policies
- Maintain the platform services ticket queues, ensuring that SLA’s are met in accordance with the incident, major incident and problem management processes
- Ensuring performance levels across all platforms remain in line with business requirements and have enough capacity to deliver the underlying service now and for the future
- Work with third party vendors to ensure that they continue to provide a consistent level of service and are performing to KPI’s
- Provide third line Infrastructure support and be responsible for the security, resilience, backup and monitoring of Infrastructure.
- Perform adequate DR and Failover tests in line with the business RPO and RTO
- Azure/365 Licence Management
Additional Information:
- Whilst your place of work will be from our Wigan Distribution Centre you will be required to travel to other business locations, therefore you will need access to your own car and full UK driving licence
- On occasions, due to the nature of this role, you will need to support the business outside of usual working hours
The Ideal Candidate
Due to the nature of this role and the technical skills which are required you should be able to demonstrate technical leadership and staff management experience with the ability to lead infrastructure projects. As a minimum requirement you will need:
- A minimum of four years’ experience working within a similar Infrastructure position
- Knowledge and technical expertise to implement strategies, evaluate processes and build upon infrastructure
- Experience working with Azure, Office 365, Windows Server, VMware and Active Directory
- LAN/WAN design (Desirable)
- SAN/NAS networking including switch configuration (Desirable)
