Information Security Manager – Wigan (WN5)

We are now currently recruiting for an Information Security Manager to join our dedicated IT Team, who will take accountability of managing information security, Data protection and IT risk across all of our depots.
Role Responsibility
Reporting into our Head of IT, the role will see you creating and delivering a security roadmap, delivering training, encouraging continuous improvement, gathering threat intelligence and protecting the business from any attacks.
Other responsibilities will include;
- Ensuring that any risk to the business is removed or managed effectively
- Effectively communicating on all matters relating to information security, data protection and IT risk
- Developing and maintaining policies and operational procedures for information security and information governance
- Providing operational security risk, assurance and security incident management
- Ensuring compliance to information security standards across the business for on-premise IT and SaaS/Cloud services
- Ensuring architectural design, project delivery and all IT change complies to information security standards
- Maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory specific security standards
- Assessing data and security risks within the business, in particular where company data is held by third parties
- Providing technical leadership in understanding / managing the security architecture / infrastructure
- Define approach to managing IT access rights for employees and trusted partners, and carrying out regular user access audits
- Network security management and penetration testing
- Working with clients to ensure appropriate technical controls and governance are in place and providing any information required throughout the presales process
- Working with suppliers to ensure appropriate technical controls and governance are in place and ensuring the appropriate due-diligence is performed for new suppliers
- Manage any information security incidents or data breaches
- Engage with technology partners where appropriate
- Ensure that appropriate records and documentation are maintained

The Ideal Candidate
Before applying, you should be able to demonstrate experience of managing information security and technical matters, along with data protection and IT risk management.
You should have:
- At least 2 years working in a similar role, managing a team
- Ability to define and implement security controls in on premise and SaaS/Cloud environments
- GDPR
- ISO27001
- BCP and DR
- Relevant qualification: CISSP / CISM / CRISC
- Understanding of ITIL
Whilst your home location will be our Wigan Support Centre, you may be required to travel to another site to provide support, therefore you should hold a full UK drivers licence.
Package Description
- An annual salary of £50,000
