HR Data and Systems Analyst – Wigan (WN5)

Job Introduction

Our support functions are the foundations of our operations who enable us to constantly grow and improve.

We are currently looking for a HR Data and Systems Analyst to join our incredible and dedicated People Services team in Wigan.

Role Responsibility

Working closely with the People Services Manager you will provide essential reporting, analysis and insight for all people data to support key business objectives.

You will also take lead for maintaining and developing centralised HR systems, automated processes and targeting continuous improvement.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop reporting tools to improve the speed, provision and accuracy of data
  • Assist with the build, support and maintenance of numerous systems (including payroll, HR, Sharepoint, applicant tracking systems, time & attendance and more)
  • Complete data input and data cleansing activities
  • Interpret information from analysis and prepare and present outcomes and findings
  • Drive improvement across data and systems within People Services
  • Integration of individual systems across ArrowXL to ensure efficient and accurate data across the department
  • Engage business stakeholders both inside and outside of HR to create self-service opportunities where possible whilst maintaining data and system confidentiality and integrity
  • Support in scoping People Services related systems requirements for any new systems to ensure we capture all requirements
  • Act as a key liaison between People Services and the wider Technical and IT teams
  • Develop and manage backup and recovery plans
  • Support our People Services Team in the delivery of change projects and plans that align to our business unit people plans

The Ideal Candidate

If you are a competent Data and Systems analyst with experience of working within HR, then this could be the perfect challenge for you.

You should be able to demonstrate experience of working with complex data to provide insights and be a self-starter who is confident operating in a standalone environment with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships across our business.

You should have:

  • At least 2 years working in a similar role in a logistics, manufacturing or retail environment
  • Advanced MS Office Skills in particular Excel
  • Experience working with multiple HR systems
  • Working knowledge of database configuration and operations
  • Inquisitive and Analytical
  • Resilience and the ability to work at pace and adapt to changing priorities quickly

Package Description

  •     An annual salary between £28,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.
