We are currently looking for a HR Business Partner to join our incredible and dedicated People Services team in Wigan, on a fixed term 12-month contract.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Head of HR Business Partnering, you will be part of a close-knit dedicated team, supported by a HR Advisor who will report directly into you. As part of the Senior Management Team within HR, you will work closely with the HR Business Partner for the South, our Reward and Benefits Team, L&D and Recruitment to define and deliver key people initiatives and projects across the North of England and Scotland.

You will act as trusted advisor and key stakeholder to our General Managers and Senior Management Teams within Operations, as well as working cross functionality with other key stakeholders amongst central support and central operational teams including Finance, IT, Commercial and Fleet. The role will be both challenging and rewarding, supporting operational day to day issues and working closely with our HRBP in the South, sharing best practice to define and deliver national people initiatives and projects across the business.

Due to the nature of the role, there will be occasions where you will be required to travel to different ArrowXL depots (with some overnight stays).

The Ideal Candidate

You will be an experienced, forward thinking HR Business Partner with a strong generalist background. You will need extensive experience delivering projects in a fast paced and environment and be someone that can champion change whilst working with ambiguity.

You will be a strong and confident communicator, both resilient and self-motivated with experience of multi-site working. You will ideally have experience in the logistics, manufacturing or retail sectors where there is an emphasis on supporting and enabling business leaders and line managers to drive high performance through effective people management and leadership.

You should have;

• CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3 years working in a similar level HR role within a related environment (logistics, manufacturing or retail)
• Experience working in a unionised environment
• Able to demonstrate commerciality and effective stakeholder engagement
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to introduce and embed change effectively
• Self-starter who is always looking for ways to improve the way we do things
• Ability to cope with rapid pace of change
• Resilient and able to move at pace and work amongst ambiguity
• Can be relied upon to deliver to tight deadlines

Package Description

•      An annual salary up to £55,000 depending on experience.
