Finance Analyst

ArrowXL are excited to announce that we’re currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join the team and be based with our central support team from our Wigan Distribution Centre. Reporting directly into the Finance Business Partner you will support with analysing and interpreting company data, forecasting results and presenting findings at weekly and monthly meetings to senior stakeholders, whilst looking at ways to identify cost savings across the business.

Role Responsibility
- Analyse financial data in a concise and clear presentation style in order to present to operational management and non-financial managers
- Continually look for ways to adapt and improve the data set, potentially using alternative sources to speed up and enhance data analysis
- Perform trend and variance analysis on flash, budget, prior year, actual and forecasting results, preparing explanations and commentary whilst identifying areas for cost savings
- Ad hoc cover to produce weekly flash reports (Monday all day, Excel based models)
- Proactively perform financial analysis leading to the successful implementation of cost reduction initiatives
Additional Information:
- Whilst your place of work will be from our Wigan Distribution Centre you will be required to travel to other business locations. Therefore you will need access to your own car and full UK driving licence.
- On occasions, due to the nature of this role, you may be required to support the business outside of your usual working hours.
The Ideal Candidate
With the amount of applications expected for this newly created position, we will only be able to proceed forward with candidates who match our essential requirements stated below:
- A minimum of two years’ experience employed within a fast paced analytical role
- ACCA / ACA / CIMA / Qualified by Experience (QBE) / AAT qualified/Part qualified
- Advanced Excel skills (most of our data is analysed in Excel)
- Excellent Analytical skills and the ability to manipulate data
- High attention to detail and deadline management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK Driving Licence (Travel will be required to other sites as and when is needed)
- Logistics/manufacturing experience is advantageous
