Commercial Coordinator – Wigan

Most of our work is taking responsibility for storing and delivering large, heavy, bulky items – the kind of work that typically needs two people to handle. Quite often these items need installing, which we take care of too.

ArrowXL are excited to announce that we’re currently recruiting for a Commercial Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Wigan.

Your primary responsibilities will centre around organising and monitoring the collection and inbound transportation of consignments from clients and suppliers, for delivery through the ArrowXL hub network. There will also be opportunity to work closely with the onboarding team, involved with the take-on of multiple new clients.

Role Responsibility

Working closely with our DSV Commercial Manager and our Client onboarding Manager, your responsibilities will include;

  • Managing daily workload to ensure collection of orders from Clients, for delivery in UK and Ireland
  • Preparation and processing of ad hoc collection requests
  • Setting up of collections on system
  • Liaison with clients to understand their volume requirements
  • Contribute to forecasting as part of Commercial Team requirements
  • Maintain schedules in Excel and Apex and communicate them as required
  • Maintain client and supplier directories
  • Management of failures and recovery
  • Working closely with other AXL departments and regular contact with all our depots across the network
  • Client services liaison – upgrades, dops and cancellations
  • Work closely with the onboarding manager, and support with onboarding new clients and managing their requests

The Ideal Candidate

With the amount of applications expected for this position, we will only be able to proceed forward with applications who match our essential requirements stated below:

  • Experience of working within a client focused role, with proven experience of resolving issues quickly
  • Experience of supporting clients with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Strong time management skills
  • Skilled in Excel, Word and PowerPoint with advanced IT skills 
  • We need you to be enthusiastic and friendly, with a passion for “going the extra mile” 
  • A confident approach to challenging situations
  • Excellent standards of communication; both written and verbal
  • Full UK driving licence

The ideal candidate would be an experienced Client focused professional HOWEVER we will provide full training for this position, and if you are a recent graduate wanting to develop a career in logistics we would love to hear from you.

Package Description

  • Basic salary of £25,000 to £30,000 per annum
